Welcome
Welcome to our community consultation
Square Bay has now acquired St Christopher’s and will be working in partnership with Acorn Property Group to redevelop the site with new homes and green, public open space. We are seeking to work collaboratively with the community, including using the community’s planning ‘brief’ as the starting point.
Involving the community
We have already engaged with a number of local groups and representatives to start understanding the community’s priorities. This has included dialogue and meetings with Westbury Park Community Association (WPCA), St Christopher’s Action Network (SCAN), residents from the neighbouring streets and local councillors. We expect to maintain and build on those conversations as we progress our plans.
But we also want to meet and hear from all neighbours and the wider community to ensure we get this right. We may not be able to satisfy all requests – and do not expect all residents to share the same priorities – but we are committed to working with the community to find the most supportable, and viable, proposal.

Our community consultation
Alongside the dialogue with local groups, we are proposing two community events. The first will be to set out our approach and seek the community’s feedback and guidance. The second will be to present your feedback back to you and explain how that has shaped our proposal.
Consultation website
In addition to the two events, this website will also be used to share details as we progress – and another way for you to please provide feedback, which you can do now or at any point during our consultation.
Our first drop-in event
- 7 May 2026
- St Alban’s Church, Bayswater Avenue, Westbury Park, Bristol, BS6 7NU
- 12.30pm-7.30pm
Everyone is welcome. Please come along. Our team will be there to explain our current thinking. We welcome your feedback.
Our second drop-in event
Details will be shared in advance, but we expect this to be held in late June/early July.
Site security update
Due to a number of people breaking into the site, damaging the villas and posing safety risks, we have installed a new perimeter fence, boarded up windows to prevent unauthorised access into the buildings, installed CCTV, and appointed a new security team. While we appreciate this isn’t particularly attractive, these temporary measures are necessary to avoid further deterioration of the historic and listed building. To install the security fencing, the contractor cleared some bushes along Westbury Park. If you have any questions about security please contact us using the details on this website. Thank you.
